I couldn’t wait to get home from work today and try on the new, new PF2s and THEY FIT! Yay! They feel perfect on my feet (just like the adult-sized PF2s), so I’m hoping they aren’t any different (I couldn’t tell with the other new pair since they’re too big). I’ll report back on that after tomorrow’s run. And then I will buy EVERY pair they have in stock ;)
Today’s run was an easy 3.5 miles. I did the intervals from Week 3 of the 5k/10k programs: 5 minute warm-up (I did 7 minutes because I started warming up before deciding on which intervals I wanted to do today), then 2 repeats of: run 90 seconds, jog 90 seconds, run 3 minutes, jog 3 minutes. Followed by a 5 minute cool-down. And I added a few extra minutes at the end to hit 3.5 miles.
I wore my old Skechers GoRun 2s today, and now I have nice big blister on the top of the 2nd toe on my left foot. Now I remember why I stopped wearing them. Oops!
This morning’s weigh in was 117.4 and here’s what I ate today:
- Breakfast: Muesli w/walnuts, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and peanut butter chips
- Lunch: Dr. McDougall’s Pad Thai Noodles
- Snack: a handful of Bugles
- Dinner: Chipotle Black beans with roasted red peppers and scallions, Red Hot Blues, and Minute brand Whole Grain Medley (this and the Black Bean Sriracha Pasta are definitely my 2 favorite meals!)
