It was a good week for both food and running :) I went from 122 back down to 119, and I ran 29.4 miles. It’s amazing what a difference logging everything makes! And for running, I decided to stop worrying about speed/pace, and just run for the sake of running. I think that’s made the most profound difference of all! I mean seriously, it’s not like I’m going to win any races, so I might as well just enjoy myself :)
- Sunday: 5.4 miles
- Monday: 3.3 miles
- Tuesday: 8.6 miles
- Wednesday: 5.01 miles
- Thursday: 3.1 miles
- Friday: 4.1 miles
- Saturday: Rest
Today I did 5.4 miles, but that will go onto next week’s totals.
And tomorrow is #MeatlessMonday, but instead of a recipe I’m going to introduce you to a new friend of mine, Esther :) Stay tuned!
Hi Laura, Just about everyone who does great at the gym, year after year, is doing it based upon fun and enjoyment. You’re so right–who cares how competitive we are?! We’re not competitive enough for it really to matter, so we may as well enjoy ourselves! And enjoyment will keep us going for a very long time. Excellent message in this post. :D
